Our mission

We save WGSD and GSD dogs from being euthanized.

SCWSRF is a 501(c)(3) charity organization with an emphasis on White German Shepherds. We help all dogs when needed and possible, working with shelter partners across Southern California.

01

Shelter rescue

We save dogs from Riverside, Los Angeles, San Bernardino County, Apple Valley, Moreno Valley, and nearby shelters.

02

Recover

Fosters give shelter-shocked pups a peaceful place to decompress while we coordinate vet care and daily support.

03

Furever homes

Adoption is the final destination: a safe home, a real match, and a future beyond the shelter clock.

Vehicle donation campaign

Turn an unused vehicle into rescue rides, medical care, and second chances.

Your car, truck, van, SUV, or motorcycle can help fund the daily care our rescue animals need, including pickup coordination, paperwork, and next steps.

  • Pay for urgent veterinary care and medications.
  • Provide food, bedding, and transport for rescued animals.
  • Fund spay, neuter, and adoption-readiness programs.

Donate your car. Save a shepherd.

Keep the launched car donation program front and center with a dedicated call-to-action.

How adoption works

Clear steps. Kind guidance. No mystery maze.

1

Apply

Tell us about your home, lifestyle, experience, and what kind of companion you are hoping for.

2

Match

We talk through fit, behavior, medical notes, and whether the dog's needs line up with your life.

3

Meet

Meet the dog with space for honest questions. If it clicks, we plan the transition together.

4

Support

Post-adoption help matters, so SCWSRF remains part of your dog's extended safety net.

Foster homes save lives

Your spare room can become a rescue runway.

Fosters are the backbone of the rescue movement. Without fosters, we could not do the work necessary to save these pups. We do not foster outside the general Southern California area.
